U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has sent his gratitude to South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha for exporting COVID-19 testing kits to the U.S.
According to Seoul's Foreign Ministry on Tuesday, Pompeo sent a letter saying that the South Korea-U.S. partnership in fighting the virus shows the strength of the relations between the two allies.
He also thanked the Korean government and the country's three private companies that exported enough kits to conduct around 750-thousand tests.
The exports came after President Trump made the request in a call to President Moon Jae-in.
