Paya Soup is a traditional healthy and tasty soup recipe made by legs of a lamb or trotters. This recipe is specially made during winter or cold season with various spices. It is a quick and easy to make mutton soup recipe. It is one of the healthiest soup for kids and family.
Ingredients:
(Serves 2)
- 4 Goat Trotters
- 2 inch Ginger (crushed)
- 8-10 Garlic Cloves (crushed)
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 3 Bay Leaves
- 1 Green Cardamom
- 10-12 Black Peppercorns
- 1 Onion (chopped)
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- Salt
- 3 cups Water
Method:
1. Take 4 medium-sized goat trotters in a bowl, add crushed ginger, garlic cloves.
2. Heat oil in a cooker, add bay leaves, green cardamom, black peppercorns, finely chopped onion and stir it well.
3. Add turmeric powder, salt, Paya and water into it. Set up the cooker for some time.
4. Once 7-8 cooker whistles are done, turn off the flame. Let the cooker cool down for some time.
5. Now remove the Paya soup into a bowl. You can enjoy this soup as it is or with Bhakri. Your Mutton Paya Soup is ready to be served.
