Learn how to make Special Upvas Snack - 'आलू चिवडा - Aloo Chivda' with our chef Seema Gadh.

Aloo Chivda is also called as Farali Chivda, Aloo lachha, Potato Chivda, Aloo Namkeen. It is a special Upvas recipe, that can be eaten as a snack during a fasting period.

Ingredients:
(Serves 2)
- 4 Potatoes
- Oil
- 1/2 cup Peanuts
- Curry Leaves
- Green Chillies(chopped)
- Rock Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper Powder

Method:
1. Peel potatoes and put it in water
2. Heat oil a wok, and start grating the potatoes
3. After grating, start squeezing the grated potatoes and remove them in a towel
4. Soak these grated potatoes with the towel and remove them in a bowl
5. Now, on a medium flame, fry these potatoes and once the foam comes down, steer these strips
6. Let them fry till they turn golden brown in color, and then, remove it on a plate
7. Now, in the same bowl fry peanuts, and take it out on a plate
8. Then, Fry curry leaves, green chillies and remove them on a plate
9. Now remove fried strips in a bowl, and add fried peanuts, green chillies and curry leaves to it
10. Add rock salt, black pepper powder; mix it and serve it
