Senior Congress leader and former finance minister P. Chidambaram Setback. Supreme court declines to take up plea in CBI case. The Supreme Court has refused to hear the plea related to the interim bail. A bench of Justice Bhanumathi said that the CBI has already arrested him and hence interim bail cannot be heard now. The Supreme Court said that if Chidambaram wants bail, he will have to move to the lower court.

INX मीडिया केस में गिरफ्तार कांग्रेस के सीनियर लीडर और पूर्व वित्त मंत्री पी. चिदंबरम को सुप्रीम कोर्ट से बड़ा झटका लगा है। सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने अंतरिम ज़मानत से जुड़ी याचिका पर सुनवाई करने से इनकार कर दिया है। जस्टिस भानुमती की बेंच ने कहा कि सीबीआई उन्हें पहले ही गिरफ्तार कर चुकी है लिहाजा अंतरिम ज़मानत पर अब सुनवाई नहीं हो सकती। सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने कहा कि अगर चिदंबरम जमानत चाहते हैं तो उन्हें लोअर कोर्ट का रुख करना होगा।
