Number of Japanese visitors to S. Korea increases 19% on year

Despite the ongoing trade spat between Seoul and Tokyo, the number of Japanese tourists visiting South Korea increased last month.
According to Korea Tourism Organization on Thursday, an estimated 1-point-5 million tourists visited the country in July... a 15-point-4 percent increase on-year.
And the number of Japanese visitors rose 19 point 2 percent in July compared to the same month last year.
Young female visitors were the driving force behind the increase. A recent study showed that 63 percent of Japanese tourists were female, and the largest age group were tourists in their 20s and 30s.
