Number of foreign visitors to S. Korea increases 31 percent in October

The number of foreign visitors to South Korea increased by 31-point-1 percent on-year in October.
According to the Korea Tourism Organization on Thursday,... a total number of 1-point-5-3 million tourists had visited the country last month.
Visitors from China went up by 37 percent to nearly.... 4-hundred-75-thousand.
This is attributed to China's partial lifting of its travel ban to Korea,... which was adopted last year in protest of Seoul's deployment of a U.S. THAAD missile defense system.
Also,... more visitors from the mainland came during China's national holidays in October.
Travelers from Japan, Taiwan, the U.S. and Hong Kong.... all rose by double-digits during the same period.
