The same temperature was last observed on June 9th, 1999.
The normal daytime highs around this time of the year in Moscow are 25 degrees.
Russia's weather agency issued an orange alarm, the nation's second highest alarm which warns of a possible natural disaster and health problems.
The warning that runs through Monday advises people to rest in a cool place if they experience headaches or elevated heartrates due to the heat.
