The Hague might be a little calmer than Amsterdam, yet visitors enjoy its monuments, seaside boulevard and a city scape that's got its own miniaturised model called Madurodam. The Windmills of Kinderdijk were built in the 18th century to prevent the nearby plains from flooding and are the country's largest concentration of windmills. Efteling is the country's largest amusement park and probably one of the most surreal. Visitors love the tales of Dutch myth and legend as well as its lush gardens.
