Ingredients:-
1 cup Chana Dal, soaked
Coriander leaves, chopped
2 tbsp Oil
1 Onion, sliced
5 Garlic pods, finely chopped
1 inch Ginger, chopped
2-3 Green Chillies, chopped
1 cup Grated Coconut
1 Tomato, finely chopped
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
1 tsp Red Chilli powder
1 tsp Garam Masala
1/2 tbsp Oil
1 tbsp Ghee
1 cup Onion, finely chopped
Water as required
Salt
Method:-
In a wok add dal, water, cover it with lid and let it cook.
Heat oil in a wok, add onions, garlic, ginger, green chilies, coconut, saute it till the color changes.
Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, lower the flame, saute it lightly and then switch off the flame.
Once it mixture cools down, transfer it to the mixture jar, add tamarind pulp and grind it into a fine paste.
In a hot pan, add oil, ghee, onion, saute it till golden brown and add the ground paste.
Saute it for 2 minutes, add lentil, water, salt and cook it till it comes to a boil.
Transfer it to a bowl, garnish it with coriander.
