This Typhoon did start off as the biggest Korea had seen in 6 years, but overnight it rather lost a lot of its steam... Let's get the latest information with our weathercaster, Lee Jee-hyun who's standing by at the weather center. Jee-hyun, despite the storm weakening I hear eastern areas of Gangwon-do Province remain on high alert?

Hello again. Those in the eastern parts of Gangwon-do Province are seeing heavy showers, rain will pick up in the afternoon while strong winds of up to 20 meters per second, or 70 kilometers per hour, are expected.

Typhoon warnings remain in place in parts of Gangwon-do Province, with advisories for parts of Gyeongsang-do Province. The typhoon alerts have been lifted for the rest of the nation. But both the West Sea and the East Sea are also seeing strong winds.

The typhoon is forecast to move out into the East Sea at around noon near Gangneung. So expect to see severe weather until the evening even though Typhoon Soulik may soon be downgraded to a tropical storm as it continues to lose steam.

Meanwhile, the amount of precipitation has decreased except for in the eastern regions of Gangwon-do Province. Seoul will see light showers into the evening.

Daily highs will range from 29 to 33 degrees Celsius, and the entire nation will have calm weather by the evening.
