Typhoon Danas hits southern parts of Korea with torrential rain, strong winds

Typhoon Danas has arrived in the southern regions of the country, along with torrential rain and strong winds.
The Korea Meteorological Agency says that as of noon,... the storm was tracking northeast at a speed of 33 kilometers per hour in waters off Jindo in Jeollanam-do Province.
Typhoon warnings that were issued in Jeollanam-do Province and Jeju Island... have now been lifted however.
The weather agency says... though the typhoon has significantly weakened in the past hour,... rainy conditions are expected to continue nationwide, especially in the southern regions,... so precautions are still advised.
