Elsewhere meanwhile, South Korea is not the only country to be hit by a powerful typhoon...
Neighboring Japan is also feeling the brunt of a powerful typhoon called Cimaron, which is wreaking havoc across the western parts of the country.
The storm made landfall in eastern Shikoku on Thursday evening, local time, packing winds of up to 175 kilometers per hour and pounding the area with heavy rain.
There have been reports of some power outages and there is also the risk of flooding and mudslides.
Typhoon Cimarron is expected to reach northern Japan by the weekend and more than 100-thousand people along the storm's path have been ordered to evacuate.
