Trump Reveals Cost of Securing Border and Building Wall The Trump Administration has projected costs for securing the border and it's going to cost at least $33 billion, according to reports. $18 million of that money will be needed to construct the long talked-about wall. All of the border plans were outlined in the 'Critical CDP Requirements to Improve Border Security,' and noted that $18 million would help cover 722 miles of the wall. An administration official told CNN, The border wall needs to be fully funded by Congress but the other priorities, such as improved immigration enforcement measures and a merit-based immigration system, must also be part of the larger immigration reform package.
