Trump administration prepares to host Governors' Dinner
  • 7 years ago
The White House is making preparations for the annual Governors Dinner, marking the first big Trump administration event of the year. The black-tie gala, which will be held on Sunday, draws the nation's governors as part of the National Governors Association's winter meeting. The event is scheduled for the same as the Academy Awards, preventing the president and any of his guests from watching the ceremony. "Mrs. Trump looks forward to putting on a phenomenal event...And the first lady's put a lot of time into this event that's going to occur, welcoming our nation's governors to the capital," White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer said during a press conference.
