Travelers were stranded at the Bali airport on Tuesday, November 28, as it remained closed for the second consecutive day due to fears of a major eruption of Mount Agung.The airport closure had disrupted over 445 flights and affected about 59,000 passengers, Channel News Asia reported, with inbound routes diverted to airports in neighboring provinces.Authorities raised the alert status to the highest level on Monday as the volcano’s eruptions changed from steam-based to magmatic, according to the Geological Agency Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.The airport was to remain shut for another 24 hours or until 6 am on Wednesday.
