Residents of Plettenberg Bay and Knysna in South Africa’s Western Cape were evacuated from their homes following severe fires that ripped through several areas on June 7 and 8.Herald Live reported that all schools in the Plettenberg Bay area were closed due to the extent of the fire.Up to 10,000 residents were evacuated from Knysna, local reports said.In this video, which was shown live on Facebook, the shells of several burnt-out houses can be seen, as well as live fires in other buildings.
