Pronaret e te paktën 200 serave ne Shirgjan te Elbasanit ankohen se po shkojnë drejt falimentit, pavarësisht prodhimit te bollshëm. Shkëlqim Dushku ka mbjelle një sipërfaqe prej katër dynymësh me perimet e stinës. Ai tregon se ka shpenzuar 3.5 milion leke për ngritjen e seres dhe kultivimin e specit, domates e kastravecit. Përveç problemeve me farërat e pesticidet qe ne shume raste i ka blere për te dytën here, tashme fermeri thotë se nuk gjen as treg dhe ne rastet kur ka klientë detyrohet ta japë prodhimin nen kosto. Edhe pse zona e Shirgjanit është vetëm 6 km larg Elbasanit, fermerët nuk kane mundur te zgjidhin çështjen e tregtimit edhe ne qytet. Drejtuesit e komunës se Shirgjanit me një sipërfaqe prej 14 hektarësh me sera bëjnë thirrje qe shteti te mbështesë fermerët me kredi te buta ndërkohë qe apelojnë për te shtuar kontrollet për cilësinë e farërave dhe pesticideve qe importohen. Me te njëjtin problem përballen edhe fermerët e zonës se Labinot-Fushe, Gjegjan e Bradashesh, ku banoret e sigurojnë jetesën vetëm me bujqësi.
