Civilian victims of Bosnia's 1992-95 war to be identified

Forensic experts in Bosnia have started to identify the remains of civilian victims of the 1992-95 war.

They remains were exhumed from at the Tomasica mass grave, near the northern town of Prijedor. The the remains of 360 people have been found and that number is expected to rise.

Prijedor was the scene of severe crimes against humanity committed by Christian Orthodox Serbs against Muslim Bosniaks and Catholic Croats, as part of their drive to create an “ethnically pure” Serb republic within Bosnia.
