Hannie Caulder (1971) is a British Western film directed by Burt Kennedy, featuring Raquel Welch in the titular role. The plot follows Hannie Caulder, a frontier woman who seeks vengeance against the three outlaws—Emmett (Ernest Borgnine), Frank (Jack Elam), and Rufus Clemens (Strother Martin)—who murdered her husband and assaulted her. She enlists bounty hunter Thomas Luther Price (Robert Culp) to train her in gunfighting. Along their journey, they encounter gunsmith Bailey (Christopher Lee), who crafts a custom revolver for her, and a mysterious sharpshooter known as The Preacher (Stephen Boyd). The film is noted for its blend of traditional Western elements with a strong female lead, and it has been cited as an influence on Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill.
