“3 Bad Men” is a 1926 American silent Western film directed by John Ford. Set during the Dakota Black Hills gold rush of 1877, the film follows three outlaws—"Bull" Stanley, Mike Costigan, and "Spade" Allen—who unexpectedly become protectors of a young woman, Lee Carlton, after her father is murdered. As they escort her to safety, they must contend with the corrupt Sheriff Layne Hunter, who seeks to exploit the gold rush for his own gain. The outlaws, tired of their criminal past, attempt to arrange a marriage for Lee with cowboy Dan O'Malley, leading to a dramatic final showdown. The film is praised for its sweeping cinematography, action-packed sequences, and Ford’s masterful storytelling.
