Parker (2013), directed by Taylor Hackford, is a crime action thriller based on the novel Flashfire by Donald E. Westlake. The film stars Jason Statham as Parker, a professional thief who lives by a strict moral code: don’t steal from people who can’t afford it, and don’t hurt people who don’t deserve it.
After pulling off a successful heist with a crew led by Melander (Michael Chiklis), Parker is double-crossed, shot, and left for dead. Surviving the betrayal, Parker assumes a new identity and follows the crew to Palm Beach, Florida, where they're planning another multimillion-dollar job. To get revenge and steal back his share, Parker enlists the help of Leslie Rodgers (Jennifer Lopez), a struggling real estate agent who unwittingly gets pulled into the dangerous world of crime.
As Parker closes in on the crew, the stakes rise with deadly confrontations, high-stakes deception, and intense action. With his skills, smarts, and determination, Parker hunts down those who wronged him—his way.
Parker combines gritty action with a stylish heist plot, driven by Statham’s stoic performance and strong supporting roles.
