▽ Shigeo Nagashima 長嶋茂雄 ex giocatore di baseball ed ex allenatore di baseball giapponese. Durante la sua brillante carriera agonistica giocò esclusivamente per gli Yomiuri Giants di Tokyo, di cui fu terza base tra il 1958 ed il 1974. Allenatore di successo con gli stessi Giants, tra il 2002 ed il 2004 gli fu affidata la Nazionale maschile giapponese. Nel 1988 è stato inserito nella Baseball Hall of Fame del Giappone. Nel 2013 gli è stato conferito il People's Honour Award (国民栄誉賞, Kokumin Eiyoshō), ambito riconoscimento nazionale riconosciuto ogni anno a personaggi dello sport e dell'arte
▽ Shigeo Nagashima 長嶋茂雄 played exclusively for the Yomiuri Giants of Tokyo, where he was third base between 1958 and 1974. A successful coach with the same Giants, between 2002 and 2004 he was entrusted with the Japanese men's national team. In 1988 he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame of Japan. In 2013 he was awarded the People's Honor Award (国民栄誉賞, Kokumin Eiyoshō), a coveted national recognition awarded annually to personalities in sports and art 「“ミスター”以外の“ミスター”はいない」
