⏩　メジャー団体トップのベルト全てを獲得し「プロレス界の帝王」の異名を持つ高山は２０１７年５月４日のＤＤＴ大阪・豊中大会でのリング上の事故で負った大ケガで首から下が動かない状態となり、長期のリハビリ生活中。

Takayama first became known for his toughness after he began competing in mixed martial arts, when he took part in one of the most famous fights in MMA history at PRIDE 21 against Don Frye. Takayama's career ended with a spinal cord injury in May 2017, which left him paralyzed from the shoulders down.
