국내 코로나 84명 신규확진... 부산 요양병원 직원•환자 감염자 속출

Our starting point tonight: the Covid-19 situation in South Korea.
The daily virus tally back down below 1-hundred today at 83 but health authorities remain on their toes as a new cluster infection has been discovered at a nursing hospital in the nation's second largest city.
Choi Wonjong leads our coverage tonight.
South Korea on Wednesday reported new cluster infections stemming from a nursing home in the southeastern port city of Busan.
During a media briefing, the city's health officials confirmed that 42 residents and 11 workers have tested positive so far...with one fatality.
These numbers are not included in Wednesday's reported cases.
As the largest cluster infection reported in the city, the nursing home was immediately put under cohort isolation.
However, because its nursing assistants work closely with many elderly patients, health authorities believe that there could be additional infections.
"We will conduct a special inspection on all nursing homes in the Busan area. We will complete inspections on quarantine measures, the wearing of masks, and entry logs at these facilities by tomorrow."
Recently, there have been multiple infections reported in the area at restaurants, public bath houses and swimming pools.
As a result, the Busan city government is imposing restrictions on indoor gatherings for two more weeks.
And in the Seoul Capital Area, health authorities will conduct COVID-19 tests on more than one-hundred-60-thousand people...mostly from hospitals for the elderly and nursing homes...to prevent further cluster infections.
As of Wednesday, the nation saw 84 new cases, a slight fall after reaching triple digits on Tuesday.
Of the new cases, 53 were local transmissions, and 31 from overseas.
This brings the combined total to 24-thousand eight-hundred-89.
