Bomb explodes in Lebanese capital

A bomb planted under a car explodes in a southern suburb of Beirut late Monday.

The bomb exploded in a Shi'ite Muslim area that is a stronghold of the militant group Hezbollah.

There were no casualities.

The bomb destroyed a car and damaged buildings.

Many fear that sensitivities around the war in neighbouring Syria could lead to further instability in Lebanon.
