Child killed by dogs after falling into zoo pen

A small boy has died after falling into an enclosure housing African wild dogs at a zoo in the US city of Pittsburgh. The child, who was three, fell over a railing and mesh barrier into the pen.

Zookeepers called off most of the 11 dogs, but one had to be shot. A police and zoo investigation is underway.
