Tony Scott will be layed to rest this weekend in a family-only ceremony. The "Top Gun" director's family announced their plans in a statement, saying that a larger memorial celebrating his life will be held in early September. Scott jumped to his death from a California bridge on Sunday (August 19). He left a suicide note, but its contents have not yet been disclosed.

The man who shot and killed John Lennon will remain behind bars. Mark David Chapman was denied parole for the seventh time since the murder. Chapman shot Lennon 4 times in front of his New York apartment building in 1980.

Finally, Shia LaBeouf walked the red carpet in Los Angeles for the premiere of "Lawless," a period action drama based in the Prohibition-era. He was joined by his co-star Guy Pearce. The film hits theaters in August 29.
