Germany's move away from nuclear energy has given new impetus to technologies like wind power. As many as 10,000 wind turbines are to be set up in the North Sea and the Baltic by 2030, generating some 25 gigawatts of power. German ports are hoping to benefit from this boom. The port city of Cuxhaven hopes to become an important base for firms working offshore.
