Estonia is the only candidate for adopting the euro currency in 2011. The euro offers the Baltic country its only chance of overcoming the devaluation of the krone and stimulating growth.The government’s rigorous measures have reduced the budget deficit to fulfill the Maastricht criteria for joining the EU’s common currency.
