Attack on U.N. convoy in Syria

Running for their lives after an IED attack on a UN convoy in the central Syrian city of Khan Sheikhoun.

Video posted to a social media website which Reuters cannot independently verify -- captured the blast as the four vehicle convoy made its way through the streets.

In Damascus, General Robert Mood, the head of the UN mission in Syria.

SOUNDBITE: General Robert Mood, Chief of the United Nations Supervision Mission in Syria saying:

"All the observers in my mission they are safe. All the observers in my mission are safe. Some of them are at their team sites, some of them are in other places but all of them are safe. I have spoken to all of them. Thank you."

The UN later reported that three vehicles were damaged by the blast.
