Blige supports for Adele ahead of Grammys

Nominated for six Grammy Awards - all eyes will be on Adele come the music industry's most prestigious award show on Sunday (February 12) night.

But it's not just the critics who think her talent should continue to be recognised - her contempories do too:

Speaking at a private Pre-Grammy party to help raise to fight HIV/AIDS in Africa - Mary J Blige made clear her feelings about Adele.

SOUNDBITE: Singer Mary J. Blige saying (English):

"I am just a big fan, I know that Adele was going through some changes, with her vocal and all that. But, I have been a fan since day one, before she got sick. I just appreciate real artists that love what they do."

Despite ducking out of the limelight while being treated with a polyp on her vocal cord, Adele clearly has not been forgotten.

"I definitely think that Adele should take home a few Grammys this year. She's amazing. I love her. She is inspired so many people, and she's a true artist. Real music. Real passion. Soul.''

"I am excited to see Adele, she has been the talk of the town, from the nitty-gritty underground clubs to the posh establishments, like she has really made a killing impressing people and I really want to see her performance."
