ICC says Saif can be tried in Libya

Muammar Gaddafi's son and heir apparent Saif al-Islam Gaddafi is transported by plane after being detained on Saturday.
Saif was captured along with four armed companions in the southern Libyan desert.
He was wanted by the International Criminal Court but on Wednesday the chief prosecutor said Saif could be tried in Libya if the correct procedures were adhered to.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT (ICC) CHIEF PROSECUTOR, LUIS MORENO-OCAMPO:
"Libya is now established, it is a new government and they have the right to prosecute Saif and Senussi here. And according to our rules, the primacy is for the national system. If they conduct the proceedings, the court will not intervene."
Saif al Islam's father Muammar Gaddafi was killed on in October after a mass uprising deposed the leader and revolutionary forces tracked him down.
