Brad Pitt brings "Moneyball" to Oakland

Brad Pitt worked his way down the red carpet for "Moneyball" in Oakland, California while the hundreds of fans shouted, "Let's go, Oakland!" -- just as they do at Oakland Athletics' games.
SOUNDBITE: Brad Pitt, saying (English):
"Coming out here. The people of Oakland stayed up with us all night for weeks on end as we tried to recreate the games and it's really special to be back here. I'm anxious to see their reaction."
Based on the best-selling book by Michael Lewis, "Moneyball" tells the story of how general manager Billy Beane bucked baseball's conventions on his way to turning the small-payroll A's into a powerhouse in the early 2000s.
Also making the rounds was Hideki Matsui. The A's designated hitter spent some time chatting with Brad Pitt and talking to the media.
Other cast members, including Philip Seymour Hoffman and Jonah Hill, also attended the premiere. "Moneyball" opens in U.S. theaters on September 23.
