Malaysia is set to host the Asean Law Forum 2025 from August 19 to 21, positioning itself to lead efforts in strengthening regional legal cooperation, said Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law and Institutional Reform) Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said.
Speaking at a press conference after launching the official Asean Law Forum website on Monday (August 4), Azalina said the forum, led by the Prime Minister's Department legal affairs division (BHEUU), will bring together justice and law ministers from ASEAN nations to produce a Joint Statement on legal collaboration.
The forum will address shared legal challenges, including international arbitration, mediation, cybersecurity, AI in legal practice, cross-border insolvency, criminal and commercial law reform, and business and human rights.
