00:00August is packed with some amazing astronomy events, from the Sturgeon Moon to the Perseid
00:09Meteor Shower. First up, the Sturgeon Moon. This is on August 8th and 9th. It's named after the
00:15large fish found in the Great Lakes and is the final full moon of meteorological summer.
00:19Next up, on August 12th, before daybreak, you can catch the Jupiter-Venus conjunction.
00:24These two bright planets will shine side by side. It's best seen between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m.
00:29And then we have the Perseid Meteor Shower. This peaks on the night of August 12th into the early
00:34morning of August 13th. Now, moonlight will reduce visibility, but you can still spot 10 to 20
00:40meteors per hour if you go to darker areas of the sky, you know, away from city lights and all of that.
