The death of Form One student Zara Qairina Mahathir has raised serious concern among Members of Parliament, who voiced alarm over school safety and bullying issues.
Datuk Matbali Musah (GRS–Sipitang) said the tragic incident, which claimed the life of a boarding school student in Papar, Sabah, was not only heartbreaking but also raised questions about how well the national education system protects students from bullying and negligence.
Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah (PN–Indera Mahkota) questioned the actual cause of the incident and whether it was an accident or involved criminal elements.
