(askanews) - Il premier britannico Keir Starmer conferma le voci che circolavano da martedì pomeriggio e annuncia che la Gran Bretagna riconoscerà lo Stato di Palestina entro settembre a meno di un cessate il fuoco immediato a Gaza. Nel corso di una conferenza stampa, Starmer - che segue l'annuncio del riconoscimento da parte della Francia - ha annunciato la decisione aggiungendo che il Regno Unito ha cominciato a lanciare aiuti umanitari su Gaza. Nel suo discorso, Starmer si è guardato bene dal criticare l'alleato americano - Donald Trump è ripartito oggi dai suoi campi di golf in Scozia verso Washington - dichiarando anzi che le operazioni di aiuto umanitario avvengono in congiunzione con gli Stati Uniti.

01:36At the atrocity, October 7th, and they must be immediately released.

01:44But also, we need alongside that to ensure we get aid in and volume and in speed into Gaza.
