Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) demands more humanitarian aid to go into Gaza.
Transcript
00:00How come?
00:01I just think that Congress is the appropriator in the Constitution.
00:05I don't think the White House can use tricks to change the meaning of the Constitution.
00:09Can you make a robust vote saying that there will be more rescission packages?
00:12What does that do to the appropriations process?
00:14It makes it harder for Dems to trust that if we negotiate in good faith,
00:18a deal will be upheld by Trump or the Republicans, and that makes it more difficult.
00:22And the letter regarding Gaza?
00:24Sorry, yeah.
00:26Do you think that the U.S. should be pulling its support from Israel or stopping to Israel?
00:32We need to allow the humanitarian organizations that are experts in providing food to do it,
00:38rather than a jerry-rigged GHF that is unsuccessful.
00:42And the notion that you're going to have just a handful, a tiny handful of sites
00:47distributing food sufficiently for this population is a complete and kind of brutal fantasy.
00:52We need to let World Food Program, Mercy Corps, and other organizations that are experts at this back into doing it.
00:58It's very, very disappointing that the Netanyahu government, not the Israeli people,
01:04but the Netanyahu government has choked off humanitarian aid since virtually the very beginning,
01:09but most brutally recently.
01:11Senator, another question in foreign policy.
