We ask Glaswegians what they think about Oasis reuniting.
Transcript
00:00Well, Oasis, isn't it about time that they came back?
00:03I think this was the long-awaited return.
00:06In fact, I don't even think it. I know it. We know it.
00:08We were all waiting. We knew it would happen at some point.
00:11Because, you know, brothers have to speak at some point, don't they?
00:14Maybe not. Maybe some families still fall out.
00:17The first time around, I didn't like Oasis.
00:19But I would say over the last 20 years, I've actually started to really enjoy their music.
00:24And because I really enjoy their music, I would like to go and see them.
00:27And I was actually quite happy when they came back.
00:31Good for them. Not a fan.
00:34No, some of their music's alright, like.
00:35But, yeah, I wouldn't have been buzzing about going to see them live,
00:39like a lot of people, but each to their own.
00:41I think that there's such a buzz about it, and it is a must-have ticket.
00:45I think it's a shame that not everybody can go to this.
00:51I think people quite like a bit of friction sometimes when they're watching a band.
00:55You know, if everything is all roses and everybody's all lovey-dovey,
01:00sometimes it's a bit too schmaltzy.
01:01You know, people quite like a bit of excitement of what's going to actually happen on the day.
01:06Are they going to give one another side eye, or are they going to get on with it?
01:10But if there is a love fest, we do want to see them holding hands,
01:13which I think they did at one point, you know.
01:15The facts speak for themselves, and when there's so many people wanting to go and see them,
01:22that just, you know, tells you that they're still very popular.
01:27And despite the fallouts that they've had in their band,
01:29people still want them to be together.
01:31Me, personally, I've met them before.
01:35I've had the very big pleasure of spending time in both of their company.
01:41In fact, quite funnily, I was covering
01:49Liam Gallacher when he was here at one point,
01:52and then I ended up getting invited in by his team,
01:56and I just went up for a drink with him.
02:02He was in the Blyth Street Hotel, and he had his guitar,
02:05and, you know, it was just having a drink, and it was very casual.
02:10I put up a video on my TikTok on the Showbiz Lion,
02:14and it was of Noel and I having a little bit of a chat,
02:19and people have said it's very flirtatious, right?
02:22You can read into it or you will, right?
02:25I've seen nothing until I see my lawyer.
02:28But basically, at one point, he challenged me about getting a real job,
02:33because we were talking about how I did, you know, writing,
02:37and I was a showbiz vlogger and all that kind of thing.
02:40And he went, when are you getting a real job?
02:42And I said, well, what about you?
02:44When are you getting a real job, you rock star?
02:47You know what I mean?
02:48He was like, I've got a real job.
02:50And I thought, and so that's what made me think,
02:51I'll get a real job now, and I'll release a single too.
02:55But he was really cool, and we did have a laugh.
