An eyewitness described the "very close" moment of seeing a gunman firing at a market in Bangkok on Monday (July 28), where at least six people were killed, including the gunman who fatally turned the gun on himself. Duangnapa Yeerunsiri, 38, who was at the market to buy groceries with her boyfriend and sister, recounted hearing gunshots as they were leaving the market. - REUTERS

00:00At that moment, I opened the car door, about to get in and leave, when suddenly I heard
00:10a sound, gunshots.
00:13At first, I thought it was firecrackers, then I glanced over and saw a man in black shirt
00:18and a cab, firing a gun.
00:20He fired so many shots in rapid succession, so we ducked down in the car and quickly called
00:26the police.
00:33We're worried because we've never thought something like this would happen to us.
00:37It's very close.
00:38Also, we don't know what would have happened if we hadn't got into the car yet and were
00:43still in that area.
00:44We might have been hit too, we just don't know.
00:47We feel very sorry for those who lost their lives.
