Cambodia and Thailand on Monday (July 28) hailed their successful meeting in Putrajaya which saw both sides agreeing to stop fighting at their border.

The immediate and unconditional ceasefire will take effect at midnight, after five days of military clashes.

00:11The immediate and unconditional ceasefire will take effect at midnight, after five days

00:18The agreement also includes an informal meeting of regional military commanders from both
00:23sides on Tuesday, followed by a possible session with Arsian defense attachés and resumption
00:29of direct communications between the two nations.
00:32Today we have a very good meeting and very good results that hope to stop immediately the
00:42fighting that have caused many life loss, injuries and also caused a lot of displacement of people.
00:50We hope that the solutions that Prime Minister Anwar just announced will set a
00:59condition for moving forward for our bilateral discussion to return to normalcies of the
01:08relationship and as a foundation for future de-escalation of forces.
01:14The two countries thanked Malaysia as Arsian Chair, the United States and China for their
01:36roles in helping them reach the ceasefire agreement.
01:40While many welcomed the truce, some expressed skepticism toward the sticking issue of territorial
