As Asean chair, Malaysia will continue to engage both Cambodia and Thailand in efforts to secure a ceasefire in the ongoing border clashes, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Speaking to reporters on Saturday (July 25), Anwar noted that although both countries had initially agreed to a ceasefire, fighting still persisted along the disputed border.
Anwar said he has instructed Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan to initiate talks with his Thai and Cambodian counterparts.
