00:00President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. turns introspective in opening his 2025 State of the Nation Address Monday, July 28.

00:08He acknowledges his administration's shortcomings, especially after the midterm elections.

00:30Marcus gets the most applause as he calls out corruption in government flood control projects.

02:18But in reporting the year that has been, Marcus dodges the toughest and most controversial issues his administration has had to face.

02:24There were no mentions of the impeachment of Vice President Sara Duterte,

02:28the case of former President Rodrigo Duterte in the International Criminal Court,

02:32and the continuous harassment of Filipino fishermen in the West Philippine Sea.
