00:00The situation where 57,000 people have been killed as a result of the actions of the Netanyahu government and the conduct of its pursuit of Hamas since October 7, nearly a third of them have been children, meaning we should reconsider our approach to this.
00:16The French outlined a range, nearly half a dozen different conditions last week. For example, the immediate release of all hostages, immediate ceasefire, ramping up massively the distribution of aid, the demilitarisation of Gaza, of Hamas, for example.
00:35These are all conditions I think we would already be on board with and are advocated in our own ways and so we should progress that.
00:43And I think the idea that we do that, given that we've already green-lighted it for our party, we've taken it to two elections, the circumstances would demand it and the ability to create international momentum on this.
00:58And more concretely, I would say, the announcement by the Netanyahu government to repartition or reshape the way in which borders exist in Gaza, meaning that we need to send a strong signal that we are opposed to that and that recognising the state of Palestine will help cement that as well.
