Focus on getting result in Gaza ceasefire, says Netanyahu

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told reporters after a visit to the US Capitol on July 8 that while he did not think Israel's campaign in the Palestinian enclave was done, negotiators and Israel are "certainly working" on a ceasefire with Hamas.   "You need several parties to tango and there's not even two here. We have a goal. We intend to achieve that goal.  "We accepted a proposal that came from the mediators. It's a good proposal. But I think the less I speak about it publicly the more likely that we might get it. I'm totally focused on the result, as is President Trump, and we're working together," he said. 01:20And our common alliance roared like thunder.

01:27There are opportunities for peace that we intend to realize.

01:34We have still to finish the job in Gaza, release all our hostages, eliminate and destroy Hamas's

01:43military and governance capabilities because Gaza must have a different future for our sake,

01:50for everyone's sake.

01:51And no country will settle for less.

01:53We certainly will not.

01:55These are all things that I discussed with President Trump.

01:57I may discuss further with him later in this visit.

02:00Could we expect an announcement regarding the ceasefire and the hospitalization?

02:05Well, we're certainly working on it.

02:07I can't speak in advance.

02:10You need, well, you need several parties to tango.

02:13It's not even two here.

02:15But we're working on it diligently as we speak.

02:18In fact, on the way over here and on the way from here.

02:22We're not going to let up.

02:23We have a goal.

02:24We intend to achieve that goal.

02:30It matches Steve Witkoff's original idea.

02:35And we think that we've gotten closer to it.

02:38And I hope we can cross the line.

03:23It is malignant.

03:27We intend to fight it because nothing defeats lies like the truth.

03:32And we shall spread the truth for everyone to see.

03:35Once people are exposed to the facts, we win, hands down.

03:38That's what we intend to do in the coming months and years.
