00:00Following Israel's announcement of a number of new aid measures, Jordan and the United Arab Emirates carried out airdrops into Gaza.
00:08After aid organizations raised the alarm about the spread of malnutrition in the Strip,

00:19According to the country's state-run news agency, Jordan is also bringing 60 trucks with essential food supplies.

01:07but that the measure alone cannot alleviate the suffering of the population of Gaza.

01:14For hostages to be released and aid to enter Gaza by land unhindered, he said in a statement.
01:19In addition, he stated that land routes are the only viable and sustainable means of providing aid into Gaza,
01:26even though airdrops will be beneficial.
01:29These measures must be fully implemented, and additional obstacles to aid must be removed.

01:36This week, Prime Minister Keir Starmer made the announcement that Jordan and the UK were working on plans to fly aid into Gaza.
01:44According to BBC News, Jordanian and UAE aircraft did not carry any aid from the United Kingdom,
01:51and no RAF aircraft were involved in today's airdrops.
