A Bangladesh Air Force F-7 jet crashed in Dhaka, Bangladesh, today, July 21, 2025. The Chinese-made F-7 BGI training aircraft crashed into the Milestone School and College campus in Uttara, Dhaka, around 1:06 pm local time, killing at least 19 people, including the pilot, Wing Commander S. Haque, and injuring over 100 others. The pilot attempted to steer the plane away from populated areas, but unfortunately, it crashed into a two-storey building. Rescue operations were immediately launched, with emergency services, fire, police, and military units responding to the scene. Interim Prime Minister Muhammad Yunus has called the tragedy "irreparable" and promised a thorough investigation into the cause of the crash.¹ ² ³
