U.S. President Donald Trump sparred with Federal Reserve chair Jerome Powell in a rare presidential visit to the Reserve.

During a press conference Trump said that the renovation cost for the Fed buildings had gone up from $2.5bn to $3.1bn.

Powell responded that he was ‘not aware of that’, to which Trump handed Powell a piece of paper.

Powell pushed back and said the president was including an extra building that had been renovated five years ago.
