00:00You may or may not have seen that today I put out a press statement about me being officially
00:04diagnosed with endometriosis earlier in January this year. The last few years have been a little
00:11bit of a roller coaster to say the least behind the scenes and I've really really been struggling
00:15not only with stomach bloating and physical pain but also with my mental health on the basis that
00:22I thought at one point this was all just in my head and I wasn't really believed. Although it's
00:28been kind of devastating news in the same token it's been the most validating and empowering feeling
00:34because I finally can take control of my own body. So it takes on average nine years to be diagnosed
00:39with this condition and one in ten women here in the UK have endometriosis. I feel very very fortunate
00:46that I was able to have a laparoscopy earlier this year to find out what I do have. Speaking to other
00:51women who have endometriosis in this condition and learning about it and understanding it more and
00:56how to live with it has been so so crucial to me feeling like I'm not alone. I've decided to
01:03partner up with Endometriosis UK. This charity is incredible not only do they offer nurse-led
01:08support and online support if you think that you have the symptoms they can help you write a GP letter
01:13to your GP.
