The Uttar Pradesh STF has busted an illegal ‘embassy’ running from a rented bungalow in Ghaziabad’s Kavi Nagar and arrested its mastermind, Harshvardhan Jain.
Jain posed as an ambassador of fictitious micronations like West Arctica, Saborga, Poulvia, and Lodonia. He used luxury cars with fake diplomatic plates, morphed photos with leaders including PM Modi and ex-President Kalam, and promised jobs and business deals abroad to dupe people.
The STF raid on July 22 recovered ₹44.7 lakh in cash, foreign currency, luxury cars, fake passports, seals, press cards, and forged documents. Jain also had suspected links with Chandraswami and arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi.
A fresh FIR has been lodged at Kavi Nagar police station. The investigation is on to trace his accomplices.
